This is a basic course on developing characters that have the depth and zing that editors/agents are looking for. We will be developing characters through a method that the participants of the course will act as their characters and all information about them will be internal.

Journaling works as a gateway to develop a daily writing habit, capturing life's snippets, creative blurbs and fresh scenes even when leading a hectic life. This course is developed for writers looking to build the habit of writing and interested in honing creative writing skills, journaling is a way to challenge the muse by using a theme to stretch creative possibilities.

This is not a course.  It  is an outline of the creation of a novel.  It lets students walk through the entire creation of a novel that was written in three months - and read the final version of the first draft. 

 You will walk through the creation of a historical novel based on the conflict between Mary Queen of Scot and Elizabeth, and the Catholic and Protestant church.

NOTE: This is not a course that will teach you how to write a novel - it will show you that it is possible to write a first draft in 3 months, part time.  You will see a storyboard, character outlines, different drafts of the novels = and even how not to go overboard on the pre-planning aspect of a novel.

The final draft will not be edited for print, but will appear in the same format that I write. The purpose is to let students 'feel' the birth of the book, the passion, the life, without worrying about sentence structure and style. 

There will be no grading in this course.

If you want to write creatively, and let loose the dreams in your head then creative writing 101 is for you.This course is for those new to writing-or for writers who wish to be more creative in the way they write. An important part of this course is daily writings, where you will learn that it's ok to just write - grammar and spelling won't matter in the daily writings, because they are about flow.

In this course you will learn the tricks of professional writers; including how to jump start ideas and how to write stories and poetry or verse.

There will only be one lesson visible each week. You may return to the lesson as often as you want but until the course is finished they will be shown one at a time. This is so that you have the time to do the tasks and absorb the material.
